ERIC RINO
Born and raised in Los Angeles, for the past decade Eric Rino has been making films, music videos and television both in Hollywood and in Independent cinema.
At the age of seven Eric developed an affinity for theatre and film, in particular slapstick and silent movies. At high school (Pacific Hills), he was received the title of Best Thespian, the position of Honor Thespian and was elected President to his school's International Thespian Society troupe (#5204), as well as Vice President to the Californian Chapter of the International Thespian Society.
In 2010 he recived his BA from Pitzer College, where he double majored in Media studies and Studio-Art. During his studies, he worked on union telivison shows in Hollywood as well as independent films .
Since graduating Eric has worked a variety of departments for numerous. Including his work a Director, Director of Photography, Gaffer and Art Director.
In 2014 he made Pineapples - a comedic silent film which he wrote, directed and produced. Pineapples had its world-premiere at the Silent Movie Theater in Los Angeles, and it's festival premier as an Official Selection of the San Jose Short Film Festival, where he met the Co-founder of VAST Roxana Rahnama.
In 2015 he directed and cowrote the silent-movie Mis'Tic in Vienna. In addition, Eric has been teaching a filmmaking at summer workshop in Zakynthos, Greece with Roxana since 2015.
He has worked with celebrities like Penn & Teller, Adam Rifkin, Snoop Dog, CeeLo Green, Missi Pyle, Sarah Silverman, Harry Hamlin, Karen Black, Sally Kellerman, Black Cats, Beth Grant, Paul Reubens, Yeardley Smith (voice of Lisa Simpson) and more.
Eric Rino works currently as a director and writer in both America and Europe.
